About Big Heart Brigade
Shown: 2008 Taste of the Palm Beaches

The Big Heart Brigade was formed on a promise,
               a goal,
                      a seemingly impossible mission...

                                                an extraordinary feat.

On Thanksgiving 2008 the Big Heart Brigade, along with countless volunteers, fed over 50,000 in need.

We are your neighbors.  We are your friends, colleagues and family.  We are volunteers, who with your help, will bring together a community.

Big Heart Brigade is a non-profit, 501 (C) 3 organization in the Southern Florida region.  Our mission is to enrich the lives of those in need by providing a holiday meal or seasonal, much needed support to a community, our community.  With a team of volunteers, this charitable group has now become an annual effort to supply Thanksgiving meals to thousands of people each year, with 2008’s goal set to feed 40,000.  The Big Heart Brigade began in 1992 when two businessmen along with local residents decided to enhance their community and truly make a difference. The joy of giving has inspired others over the years with civil servants, community leaders and other citizens getting involved with hands on community service.  One hundred percent of all the proceeds raised goes directly to the Big Heart Brigade’s community initiatives.  The organization’s motto “Coming to the Rescue” accurately portrays their purpose behind building a supportive community with the warmth of giving and the hope for a better tomorrow.
